Photographs at their most fundamental are the traces of light on a light sensitive surface. 'Light into being' was a study of this; creating photographs at their most primitive of stages when the photographic surface has just began to change in reaction to light but stopping the exposure before descriptive indexical traces begin to appear. The results are light as abstract.
The changes in form, colour and tonality are the result of atmospheric changes and differentiations in exposure time.
